Under the responsibility of the General Manager, you will be required to:

Management:

Develop strategies to carry out activities in keeping with the organization 's priorities;
Attend Executive meetings and committee meetings as needed;
Supervise the general planning of the departments, budget forecasting, administrative control, human resources planning and management; and the application of policies and procedures;
Maintain flexibility so as to react rapidly to parameter changes and new business opportunities;
Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solution to business challenges;
Maintain a proactive relationship with colleagues in the Creative Department and ensure their smooth collaboration with the colleagues of the Production Department ;
Positively adhere to and support the company structure and propagate good faith between departments.

Show:

Supervise the entire production process for all shows, including supervision of all the budget, schedules, resources and technical and creativity quality;
Take part in setting realistic parameters for show operations.
Maintain strategic relations with our business partners in collaboration with the Board.
Oversee the development of capital expenditure and operating budgets related to the creation and production of live shows, ensure that appropriate financial system and contract are in place, monitor all aspects of financial performance and ensure that costs are controlled in best interest of the company;
Ensure that quality and production standard for our shows are of the highest calibre.
In collaboration with the Artistic Department , ensure a smooth transition between shows' stabilization and operations periods;
Maintain all shows' production and artistic record;
Identify key players for new productions by managing talents.
Recruiting of technical, artistic and production staff.

Theatre projects:

Supervise the infrastructure Department's activities by ensuring collaboration between the technical department and the theatre;
Ensure that our partners' parameters are respected during the construction of new theatres and development of new shows;
Stay aware of new trends in staging techniques, technological and set design fusion and architecture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree OR college diploma in recognized theatre establishment OR the equivalent experience;
A minimum of five years' senior management experience and at least ten years' significant experience in production and with large-scale live entertainment operations; Theatre background required.
Solid consultative leadership skills; ability to build, develop and motivate a very diverse group of directors, nurture them and leverage their talents; ability to build high-performing teams and to motivate and inspire creative people;
Energetic, enthusiastic and hardworking; ability to remain calm in a turbulent environment while demonstrating a sense of prioritization in meeting a tight deadline
Business acumen - sound practical judgment combined with the ability to manage both human and financial resources.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization; sensitivity to the needs of highly creative, artistic individuals;
The ability to balance creative and business demands, to prioritize, and to work comfortably in a multicultural environment;
Leadership; the ability to express leadership with diverse individuals and other company departments, by creating consensus and establishing a concise solution to issues.
Strategic thinking and planning skills, combined with the ability to work with "Here and now" challenges and opportunities;

In view of developing our international activities, we  have an immediate vacancy for a: General Manager 

The General Manager will be responsible for assembling and operating the assigned show.  Reporting to the Director of Operations and liaising with the Head Office Belgium, the General Manager will lead the team of technicians, staff and artists to ensure the safe and healthy operations of the Show.

The General Manager will also be responsible for monitoring sales and advising both partners of trends, managing all facets of the operation including Front of House and Ticket office operations.

Interested parties should have a high degree of comfort working in a culturally diverse group, and be willing to relocate to assigned project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
Manage the budgets, expenditures and income for the project. Acquire budget approval.
Delegate budget control to Technical Manager and Artistic Direction, manage the process.
Create and manage payroll and payables systems with Accounting
Report trends to Operations Belgium

Leadership:
Strategic planning of all show operations with Artistic, Technical, Stage Management, Health Services.
Advise and mentor leadership of all departments
Lead the recruitment process for all administrative staff, Technical staff and Artist replacements in collaboration with Head Office.
Advise and collaborate with the Artistic team for the wellbeing of the Artists and the show. Ensure the health and wellbeing of the performers
Support the decision making process of the artistic team for show changes and artists replacement
Lead all department Managers.

Operation:
In collaboration with Head Office, manage the artists' contracts, and renewal process.
Convey information to the partner in an open and collaborative manner to ensure the smooth operation of the show.
Maximize profitability, and minimize costs
Ensure the implementation of all security, maintenance, and safety procedures and training. Ensure the job training and establishment of show standards.
Support the artists at all times by creating a wellbeing programme.
Ensure the creation of a continuous quality improvement process for personnel, systems and equipment.
Ensure the creation of a safety program and process for personnel, systems and equipment.
	
Miscellaneous:
Work an extended schedule throughout the load-in and rehearsal periods.

Requirements:
Education
University Degree or College and related experience
Experience
10 Plus years experience with large shows, creation of new shows and demonstrated leadership of large teams. Experience in managing large projects and multiple partner relationships. 
Experience in planning and managing budgets.

Other Skills:
Experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical productions
The ability to supervise personnel and to perform under pressure.
The ability to be a team builder and to lead strong teams
Computer literacy as it pertains to PC based systems and common office software.
Willingness to learn and interact with different cultures.
Willingness to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures.
Ability to speak and understand English language. French an asset.

Works with the T.D. to maintain property in storage. Runs auditions and manages artistic communication as directed by the A.D. in non-production times.
Background in technical theatre including experience with sound, lighting, rigging, carpentry, and video. 
Management experience and ability to supervise a crew. 
Experience in Microsoft office, PC-based lighting console (Rosco Horizon) and SFX sound composition software. 
Flexibility, desire to lead, ability to work independently as well as be part of a team. Understanding of our unique product, ethos, and history a plus; desire to learn with this unique company a must.
Ten years experience in Production/Stage Management.....  Bilingual in French a plus.....
